An unexpected remedy
October 12 2025
I had a pretty difficult day on the 11th– at night I thought about missing day 22 because I was sure I would feel gloomy the next day and unmotivated. I found myself the next morning, still upset, but also looking out of my window and feeling calm at the sight of sunlight and the swaying of the trees. I think even having my house plants insight made me feel better.
When I have a bad time my immediate solution is to isolate myself indoors because its private but something about how peaceful the outdoors looked I unexpectedly felt the need to go on a walk. Although, it may have just been influenced by the beautiful weather…
I only took a few photos because I kept walking I started to reflect on what I am looking at and how it felt to be alone with a cool breeze.

During my walk, I felt calm. I knew that none of the stress was truly going away because I needed to confront it with productivity but the moments I spent outside felt liberating. Even though this experience wasn’t me accomplishing a grand goal (touching bugs) I still felt good because this was one of the first times I genuinely felt the need to go outside, that wasn’t part of school work or hanging out with friends. I noticed a change in what and how I interact with nature. I have also been keeping up with my policies! This reflection really felt internal than external so I am still grateful for the progress I am making with this challenge.
BONUS!
I went cat sitting Monday night and Tuesday afternoon. These cats made my day– symbiotic nurturing
